After four consecutive repo rate hikes by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), several banks have raised interest rates on fixed deposits (FDs). The State Bank of India (SBI) HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank are among those lenders that have hiked interest on term deposits recently. Canara Bank and Union Bank of India have also revised their term deposit rates. Since May 2022, several government, private and small finance banks have increased the interest rates on FDs and savings accounts. For rate of interest of term deposits for RS. 2 Crores and above, please contact the nearest branch of our bank. The additional rate component, applicable to resident senior citizen term deposits is 0.50% over the rate applicable to normal rates. The additional rate applicable to resident super senior citizen term deposits is 0.75% over the rate applicable to normal rates for the term deposits opened/renewed on or after 01.12.2022. ELIGIBILITY : Any person who has completed the age of 60 years and 80 years is treated as a senior citizen and super senior citizen respectively, for obtaining the benefit of the additional interest. Union Bank of India recently revised the interest rates of its fixed deposits (FDs) for amounts less than Rs 2 crore. The new interest rates are effective from May 23, 2023, according to the Union Bank website. Latest Union Bank of India FD interest ratesUnion Bank of India is offering an interest rate of 3 per cent on fixed deposits maturing between seven to 45 days. The interest rate offered for FDs maturing between 46 days to 90 days, is now offering 4.05 per cent. The fixed deposits maturing between 91 days to 180 days, will fetch an interest of 4.30 per cent. For FDs with a tenure of 181 Days to less than 1 year will get an interest rate of 5.35 per cent.
