Filmmaker Rohit Shetty and Bollywood star Ajay Devgn are all set to join hands once again for the third Singham film. According to reports, the new film is titled Singham Again and will begin shooting after Ajay wraps up his commitments with Bholaa. The Singham franchise was started in 2011. The first film, a remake of the Tamil hit Singam, got overwhelmingly positive responses from the audience, and this led to a sequel film Singham Returns in 2014. 2018’s Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh, marked the third live-action film in Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe. This was followed by 2021’s Sooryavanshi, headlined by Akshay Kumar, in which all three cops come together. Notably, Rohit also has a Prime Video series titled Indian Police Force, with Sidharth Malhotra in the lead, is in production. Details of how the series connects with the other narratives and the plot of the third Singham film are unknown for now. Details of the cast and crew of the new film remain unknown as well. Meanwhile, Rohit is currently busy with the promotions of Cirkus. The film, starring Ranveer Singh, is set to hit screens on December 23.

As per a new update shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again will be eyeing Independence Day 2024 release. Rohit Shetty is collaborating with Ajay yet again for the third installment of the Singham franchise and the shooting is expected to begin in August 2023, after Maidaan has hit the big screens on June 23. Mumbai: Actor Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Rohit Shetty have started prepping for the third installment of the "Singham" franchise. Ajay took to his Instagram and made an announcement. He also shared a photo of him and Rohit. "Made a good start to the New Year with @itsrohitshetty`s narration of Singham Again. The script I heard is fire. God willing this will be our 11th blockbuster", read the caption. The director commented on Ajay`s post, "Ab tak Imaandaari aur Mehnat ke saath kaam kiya hai... is baar andar Aag bhi hai". Fans could not control their excitement as they heard the announcement and started showering their love in the comments section. “Wow……. Congratulations Ajay Sir,” a user commented. “Excited,” another user wrote with heart emojis. ‘Singham’ first released in 2011. It serves as first installment of Rohit`s `Cop Universe`. A remake of the 2010 Tamil film of the same title by Hari, the film stars Ajay in the lead role as a police officer named Bajirao Singham alongside Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj who reprises his role as in original. Following the film`s success, the actor-director duo collaborated for sequel ‘Singham Returns’, which hit the screens in 2014. Other than this, Ajay Devgn as Singham also appeared in a cameo role in Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan starrer ‘Simmba’ in 2018. Directed by Rohit Shetty, ‘Simmba’ was also a part of the ‘Cop Universe’.
