Comedian Raju Srivastav succumbed to a month-long fight against cardiac arrest, which he had on August 10 during a workout session. The actor-comedian breathed his last on September 21. As per hospital sources, he passed away at 10.20 am. The actor's last rites are being held at Delhi's Nigambodh Ghat. The postmortem of comedian Raju Srivastava was performed using a novel technique, AIIMS forensic department head Dr Sudhir Gupta said on Wednesday. Why was this novel technique applied to Raju Srivastav's postmortem? An autopsy is a specialized surgical procedure that examines the body of a dead person to determine the cause and manner of death and to evaluate any disease or injury that may be present. The body is viewed internally in order to understand the manner of death. In Raju Srivastav’s case, his body was examined using a virtual autopsy method. "In the very beginning when he was brought to the AIIMS casualty, he was not in his senses and a clear history of fall during running on treadmill could not be explained properly.
