He is widely regarded as Bangladesh’s most successful Test captain. According to former Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons, Rahim’s batting is so versatile that he can bat anywhere in the top order, from one to six. He is Bangladesh’s leading individual scorer in Test cricket. He is the first and only wicket keeper-batsman in Test cricket history to score two hundreds. Rahim took to his official Twitter account to make the announcement, insisting that he will now be focussing on ODIs and Tests. Rahim's decision came just over a month before the scheduled start of the T20 World Cup in Australia.
