Indians' Josh Naylor suffers gruesome ankle injury after collision

• • • • Cleveland Indians outfielder Josh Naylor was hospitalized after suffering a leg fracture in a horrifying collision with a teammate in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Twins. In the fourth inning, Naylor, playing right field, ran toward the infield in pursuit of a shallow fly ball while second baseman Ernie Clement ran towards right field. Both players collided, causing the ball to drop in for a hit and sending Naylor airborne. Naylor landed awkwardly on his right foot, which seemed to twist backwards under the weight of his body. The training staff immobilized Naylor’s leg and stretchered him off the field, causing a 12-minute delay. “Once you see that, you’re not going to unsee it,” Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said after the game. “And it brings out feelings, too, and it’s hard for people to sometimes, regardless of what team you’re on, refocus, and there’s a lot of people that care about that young man and we’ll be thinking about him as time goes on.” Oh man…. Josh Naylor just had a nasty collision and is in incredible pain. Probably don't want to watch if you have a squeamish stomach…. Following the game, Indians manager Terry Francona revealed that Naylor had suffered a fracture and was undergoing further evaluation at the hospital. Cleveland, trailing 4-1 at the time of the injury, would go on to lose, 8-2. The scene left Naylor’s teammates in visible agony, making it difficult to continue. A Tall Tale: Missing Man Undergoes Unusual Surgery

A 22-year-old-man in Hyderabad went missing from his home on Sunday. His parents filed a missing report with the police, only to discover that the boy was actually admitted in the hospital, for a surgery that few people have heard about! Nikhil Reddy, a resident of Petbasheerabad area in Hyderabad, has undergone limb-lengthening surgery at the Global Hospital in Saifabad area. Nikhil is 5.7 feet tall and reportedly wanted to increase his height by about three inches. On Sunday, Nikhil went missing from his house along with some cash and jewellery. The concerned parents lodged a missing complaint with the local police stations and in the course of the investigation, the police traced his mobile phone to Global Hospital, Lakdi-ka-pul in Saifabad area. The parents had no clue about the surgery and as they landed at the hospital with police, they found out that their son was in the operation theatre undergoing leg-lengthening surgery. The doctors say Nikhil would require six months of treatment to normalise and start walking again. Leg-lengthening, also called ‘deformity-correction’ surgery, is used to lengthen deformed or missing bones. The surgery is mostly conducted on people who have unequal limbs, for correcting dwarfism, or in accident cases when the limbs are damaged. It’s a painful surgical procedure that requires intense post-operative care for several months. Nikhil’s father, Goverdhan Reddy, broke down after seeing his son in surgical ICU. In a video that em...
