There's lot to appreciate specially how Alia Bhatt as a producer chose this film as her first and hope to see her making films like this more. The concept and the way they handled the topic was very close to sublime but the second half and specially the later stage felt quite messy and they kinda played it in the predictable side and made it look fun cause I would have loved to see the tonal shift to thriller drama but overall I'm happy that atleast mainstream bollywood is trying to showcase domestic abuse more then just "women in sympathy" And giving zero fucks about abusers. We needed the anti Kabir singh films in mainstream way like this and hope… • The dark comedy has its set of narrative up n downs, yet the terrific casting n outstanding performances from Shefali Shah, Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varna and Roshan Mathew sustain your interest throughout the run. First half depicts the uncomfortable realities of domestic violence in a disturbing manner. Later, though it has some fine stretches and moments, it does get slightly convenient and monotonous at places, lacking the expected finesse after the promising start.
