Barchart - Fri Jun 16, 7:27AM CDT Cotton futures are working with 8 to 50 point recovery for early Friday board action. Nearby cotton futures ended Thursday lower, marking the 7th consecutive red close for July. July futures finished with a 1.4% loss. New crop prices were down by 11 to 68 points on the day. USDA’s weekly Export Sales report showed 98,915 RBs of cotton was booked during the week that ended 6/8. That was a 9-wk low, although China booked 70.5k RBs. The week’s exports were 245k RBs for a season’s total of 10.25 million. Total commitments were 13.61 million RBs through 6/8. USDA also reported 66k RBs sold for 23/24 delivery, putting the total at 1.78m. The Cotlook A Index for 6/14 was up by 50 points to 92.75 cents/lb. The AWP for cotton was revised 238 points lower to 67 cents flat. ICE Certified stocks for 6/13 were 17,918 bales.
