SpiceJet

I start with indira gandhi international delhi airport and is among the best airports in world, I can say and do recommend to travel for connection flight SpiceJet is budget low cost cost airline so charges for food and bevreges are extra. You will get drinking water free of cost. This particular route seems to br outsourced by corendon airlines. Planes were small but were not noisy. Ques at boarding were exceptionally long both at Dubai and Delhi. They were charging extra in return for faster chek in and in flight food which I dont like. In flight entertainment was not there. It was approx 4.50 hours flight Rest it all like budget airline mention to be. In Dubai T1 terminal was there for budget airlines which seems to be fine. Dear Guest! Please note that customer feedback is always appreciated as it enables us to identify areas that may need improvement, and we are extremely grateful to you for sharing your views with us. As of now, inflight entertainment is available on selected flights. We look forward to welcoming you onboard again soon. Airline staff was arrogant and totally non-co-operative.Using unfair practices to extract money from psssangers for hand baggage. They included weight of laptop, duty free items and warm clothings also in hand baggage while checking weight of hand baggage. Hand baggage was checked just before boarding and not at the time of check-in thereby denying opportunity to reduce hand baggage. They wanted to make money anyhow.Offer of help by a fe...

Wetlease: Corendon Europe flies for Spicejet

The Maltese airline Corendon Europe was able to place the Boeing 737-800 with the registration 9H-TJC under a wet lease agreement with the Indian Spicejet. The medium-haul jet has been in service in India since February 17, 2023. This is already the fourth aircraft of this type that the Corendon Group is flying on behalf of Spicejet. The Turkish airline also flies five Boeing 737-Max-8 for the Indian carrier. The focus on the wet lease business also has an impact on the flight schedule, because both Corendon Airlines and Corendon Europe have significantly reduced the offer for the summer of 2023. Coronavirus blow: SpiceJet returns wet

Budget carrier SpiceJet has returned five wet-leased Boeing 737 aircraft to Turkey’s Corendon Airlines as the aviation sector continues to remain under the firing line of the coronavirus outbreak. While the airline said that the return is a part of the airline’s efforts to cut costs, sources hinted at financial crunch. “The suspension of international operations and the weakening of domestic demand due to COVID-19 outbreak earlier this month provided an opportunity to SpiceJet to cut high-cost expenses and focus our resources on running a lean and profitable operation. As part of the cost cutting exercise, wide-ranging measures have been taken including returning some wet-lease aircraft,” a SpiceJet spokesperson said, The Indian Express reported. SpiceJet has ruled out cash crunch as a reason behind the return and said that due to reduced operations, the airline no longer needed the aircraft. Aviation is one of the worst hit sectors due to coronavirus as governments across the globe have imposed travel restrictions in the wake of coronavirus. India also recently announced the suspension of domestic and international flights to contain the virus. India’s GCC market to hit $110 bn by 2030, says EY report In the wake of burning cash reserves, airlines have also started to announce pay cuts and recently, GoAir also said that its employees will get lesser salaries for the month of March.
